Chapter 15: The Final Battle Part 1 → A Battle of Wills and Tactics
A message from April to the people of America
As the turtles were preparing those three days to go and fight Morris, April and Casey were doing their own work to make sure the damage would be minimalized. Casey though… lost trust from the people. After all, the military were no match for Morris, being defeated during the battle of New York. Nobody listened to the evacuation plan or the roadblocks that were happening around the perimeter, where in the Hidden City underground the huge battle was going to take place. However… The people did see the turtles battle their hearts out, causing the enemy to fly away to safety. Would they listen to April, if she revealed that she knew them?
After April revealed her connection, sharing pictures of her and the turtles from the time since they met, she got invited to major news outlets. This is an exhibit from a reporter who interviewed April during the crisis. Everybody watched it unfold on their TV’s, hoping… praying… that there would be an end to the uncertainty of this madness.
Reporter: “So you have known the turtles for a long time, correct? How are the heroes dealing with the current crisis?
April: “They are devastated to be honest. The turtles want what is best for the people and the world. But they are people too, and scared about what is going to happen. But…
As April started saying the following words, she got tears in her eyes. She knew this was the case about what she was going to say. It was still hard however.
April: “They are prepared to sacrifice their lives to defeat him. And not just him. The Rabbit-fighter too. He has a power that is specifically needed to defeat that person.”
The reporter was not just asking questions. The man was told to try and increase the uncertainty… but he just could not do it. Not in this crisis. He felt that although not asking mean questions went against what he was told, he wouldn’t do it to the people of America, even if it would cost him his job.
“So, please people… everyone is trying so hard to end this conflict. Evacuate, hide in your basement, do whatever you need to do to stay safe. Don’t go to the upper floors of buildings. It is not safe. The military is doing all they can to support our heroes, so the turtles can worry less about the safety of the people and can focus purely on defeating HIM.”
Casey just looked at April through the screen. He had tears in his eyes and was moved by April’s attempt. Then after a while… the people came to them, and with sad looks on their faces… They listened to what was being instructed to them.
The final battle in the Hidden City
As the laser was shot. Raph immediately became a giant version of himself, blocking the entire thing from wiping the entire group out. Raph’s form broke, but he could create it again a lot of times, just like he trained.
“PHASE 1,” Leo yelled at the team, everyone nodding in understanding. They were going to have to do it. Leo went with Yuichi, and Draxum immediately started creating vines.
The entire operation was Leo and Draxum’s plan. In phase 1, they would let Splinter summon his mystic power. They just needed to distract Morris from channeling a huge amount of energy that would harm the rat. If only it were easy though…
“Alright Yuichi, this is not about getting him killed yet with the katana. It would be amazing if we could, but don’t count on it,” Leo said to him, looking determined at Morris through all the chaos. Yuichi didn’t say anything, he just looked at the enemy in front of him. ready to fight for everyone he loves. Then… Leo immediately threw a sword at the enraged Morris, who started to levitate, creating massive steel antlers and spikes from his body including other creations from the floor. He also made his arm massive with muscle tissue, while from one of his legs a snake-like vine appeared made from muscle tissue and bones. Yuichi then nodded and held Leo’s hand, planning to teleport with him. They knew from each other what they were thinking and could act accordingly as a result.
Mikey immediately shot multiple chains at the opponent, breaking some of the antlers and spikes. It wasn’t enough however, as a massive stream of water flooded from the antlers, engulfing the area they were in.
“YUICHI NOW,” Leo yelled and as they teleported behind Morris, Yuichi used a massive flame curtain to completely neutralize all the water. It also hurt Morris of course, but he could just regenerate instantly, using the creation of stem cells. However… he actually didn’t do that.
Instead, the villain used all his energy to create a massive explosion. Leo immediately portaled Yuichi and himself out of there. Mikey and Draxum tried to contain it with their chains and vines… and Raph protected Splinter, who was almost done summoning his power. The explosion, however, was massive. It wasn’t just a combination of air, kinetic energy and him strengthening his body. No… He also created sharp stones and shot them towards the entire opposing side. The man was sacrificing his own body to create power so huge it would completely overwhelm everyone in his path. It didn’t matter to him, he could regenerate at a later point in time anyway. Mikey and Draxum were caught, with Draxum trying to fend off the stones for both of them with his vines. Yuichi and Leo just looked in horror at what was happening. With their powers… they couldn’t do a thing. Raph’s giant mystic form broke after a while…
Then Splinter came through and protected everyone.
As the rat stood there, with tears in his eyes, a massive dragon stood in front of the people he cared about.
Everybody was huffing and puffing, especially Mikey and Draxum who were hit, several wounds and cuts being on their bodies. But Leo started taking charge of the plan… “PHASE 2, MOVE FORWARD.”
The dragon started firing massive flames. Morris was completely overpowered, almost being burned to death. Then, he started creating wind and kinetic energy again from his body, but not in the way he used to. He used it continually, causing all of the dragon’s flames to be neutralized. However… he was no longer able to create the massive attacks that he usually used to defeat his enemies.
Slowly but surely, the entire team could move forward. The only ones that could attack now were Mikey and Draxum. Draxum could summon his vines from under the ground and Mikey’s chains were so fast and thin that they could go through the wind. The others couldn’t do a thing, though they were now safe from massive explosions. The battle became slow and stale, almost like a chess game. Morris started shooting metal plates and arrows from his fingers, part of his antlers still being there. Draxum just tried to defend Mikey, as he was the only one who could hurt the man. Yuichi and Leo were still hovering together, trying to find a small opening through the wind. But it was no use… If Leo portaled them, they would immediately be flown away. The same would happen when throwing a sword at the man.
Leo started checking in how his team was doing.
“Guys, are we doing okay? We can do this, he is getting closer. Once we get near him, then we can…”
“I will keep shooting at him, my chains can cause him to use his energy to regenerate, just like you said Leo,” Mikey yelled, shooting chains at the man. The man was responding with steel bullets of his own, which Mikey was dodging like an acrobat, even with all the wind.
“It’s working, Leo, your plan, he will be cornered and then…” Raph said proudly to his brother. He was also acting as a frontline in this battle, supporting Splinter if there were any attacks he couldn’t take.
“It will be my turn…” Yuichi said, his face full of determination and looking carefully at his opponent. His katana was glowing, the green color almost blinding if you looked at it closely enough.
Splinter was sweating at this point, but despite his fear he was in total control. He was going to put everything on the line to win this fight for his sons.
“We are almost there. We can do this! I will protect my family, even if it means using this cursed power again.” Splinter yelled to Morris.
Draxum in the meantime, was just concentrating. He was waiting to get close enough so he could pick up Morris with his vines and completely enwrap him in them, letting Yuichi finish the job, hopefully…
Then… something happened.
Gauches and wounds were appearing all over Morris’s body as he was loading a lot of black energy. Splinter’s dragon was still walking forward, obviously, not breathing fire to conserve its energy for walking through the massive wind.
“CARE, HE IS LOADING ANOTHER ATTACK, WE CAN TAKE IT, WE HAVE SPLINTER AND ME,” Raph yelled, his voice full of confidence and determination. But unfortunately, something unexpected happened.
Morris shot forward. He boosted himself using massive amounts of kinetic energy and enchanted his body with all his creations. This was something the team had anticipated could happen once they were nearer the wall, but they did not expect it to happen so soon.
“WHAT??!” Leo yelled, “PHASE 3…” But before Leo could even yell what he wanted to say…
Morris touched the dragon’s head… making it fall asleep immediately.
“HE CREATED A SEDATIVE,” Draxum screamed, him immediately trying to catch the man with his vines. But it was no use. Morris immediately rushed towards Splinter, Raph trying to catch him too… but missed. Splinter couldn’t defend himself, and as he looked toward his boys…
The rat was taken out… not dead, but unable to fight. He was hit with a fast-hitting punch.
“DAD!” The turtles screamed at the top of their lungs, their demeanor being one of hopelessness. Yuichi just looked in horror. The man was now even more horrifying than when he was possessed by the entity.
Leo immediately tried to teleport Yuichi towards Morris, but Morris’s body started to change. A massive metal bodysuit came from him, with massive layers of muscle underneath. He was going to go full-on in a physical brawl with the team, simultaneously defending himself against Yuichi’s new power. Yuichi shot massive flames at the encapsulated man, hurting the armor a lot, but new layers were created. Leo was shocked and panicked seeing the metal being come forward. Thinking of his trauma, he almost collapsed… but Yuichi looked at him, smiled, and grabbed his hand, letting the turtle know it was all okay.
Then… the form of Morris’s mother was formed on his back, hugging him tightly. He was ready to end it all for his own family. Jumping to Raph, he completely overpowered the red mystic giant of him, while in the meantime Mikey and Draxum tried to do something with their chains and vines, slightly hurting the armor. Raph tried to defend himself. even without his giant. But… his arm was ripped off by Morris, creating a metal-like tentacle with muscle in it.
Then, the red turtle completely lost it and started screaming ferociously in the process. He created another, darker, mystic arm from the one he lost and started repeatedly smashing the fist into the battle armor, stopping the bleeding in the process. Mikey joined him and together… they started dragging Morris through the floor, hurting his armor in the process.
Leo and Draxum were following him, defeating all measures of counterattacks with several portals and vines. He was being hurt, as his muscle layer was almost torn off.
When Morris stuck his arm out to counterattack again, Mikey, who already used his chains to completely engulf the man in them, shot them from his eyes. One hit Morris’s hand and the other pierced his head. In the meantime, Raph was still smashing at the man.
Draxum then vined Morris, who was now almost unconscious. Even with the fact that he could create adrenaline and regenerate, when Mikey shot a chain through his head, he was bound to be incapacitated for a while.
Then… another air explosion came, knocking everyone back. Raph became unconscious, with Mikey tending his wounds. But Draxum gripped himself with his own vines, and kept trapping the enemy. Morris then aimed a laser at him, aiming for the kill.
“This is my last fight it seems, huh Splinter… “
“DON’T,” Leo and Yuichi screamed at Draxum, however…
Draxum looked back at both of them and smiled. “It’s your turn. After the laser is finished, you know what to do.“ Then… Draxum was pierced by the massive laser…
He died instantly.
As this happened, Leo and Yuichi immediately teleported together, with Yuichi in front of Morris and Leo behind the man. Morris tried to blast away Yuichi with his hand through an explosion… but Leo cut it off.
As Yuichi got closer to the enemy… With all his might… He thrusted his katana inside Morris’s heart…
It was over.
Or was it….?
Morris fell toward the ground… His hand was on his chest. Then… a green light came from him. The man’s eyes started becoming greener. Total silence except the sound of some kind of energy… Green flames started burning Morris’s body.. His chest was green from where the katana was thrust.
Then…
“You took my mother and father from me…” Morris said, realizing what was happening to his core.
“MY SOUL… YOU MURDERED THEM!”
“No…” Yuichi silently said, reacting to Morris’s voice with desperation of his own, as the glowing man was starting to stand again. Mikey, who was still tending Raph’s missing arm, shot a chain around Morris… Looking hopelessly at the situation that was about to unfold. Leo immediately went to get Yuichi away from the man, instantly portaling him to safety.
Then… Morris started healing himself through the green flames, his chest still being green.
“THEY ARE DEEEAAAADD!!” Morris screamed in complete agony, his eyes starting to glow an intense green light. Then, he broke free from Mikey’s chains with a massive fist made from muscle.
Massive amounts of black lightning were everywhere, consuming the entire place they were fighting.
Launching himself towards Leo and Yuichi, he didn’t attack with just his will and the suffering he endured…
It was an attack full of hate and a need for revenge.
