Chapter 11 part 2: Nederland Arriveert → Morris Faces The Netherlands’ Best
The elite team faces Morris

Immediately, Alex, the leader of the team, pointed at Morris. Then… what proceeded to happen, was that an orange line was created.
“Locked on. Location secured and vulnerable.”
Morris responded by throwing metal blades at the flying rodents, who immediately dodged. They looked like they were flying in a pattern, a special formation that was specifically for situations like this one.
Morris wasn’t happy he had to face them, as he secretly didn’t like to fight, now that he was fully in control of himself again.
But he felt like he had no choice… He had to see his family again, save them from his own power.
While the Avali were surrounding the man, Morris held up his hand to release a massive lighting blast.
“Electric energy, lightning and… who cares, I just sound like that thing if I say that.”
But as he was about to shoot it at the Avali, they joined forces and flew slightly away from the man, with the silent red Avali creating some kind of blue massive ball around them.
As the lighting was everywhere, nothing came through the ball, it protected the rodents. The orange line was still there however… and immediately the smart red one flew insanely fast over Morris and created another green sphere of something.

This time it was inside Morris’s body, hitting him in the process. It was some kind of mystic corrosive poison. This meant that Morris could not create an antidote to stop the damage. As a result he had to keep healing himself and was not able to keep using as much energy to create his attacks as he normally could.
The attack stopped after 6 seconds, with the Avali team repositioning themselves away from the man. They knew how destructive he could be, and were acting accordingly to the situation.
“We hit him once, right? In a while, your power is going to kick in.” The angsty blue Avali said to his team.
“This one hit won’t be enough though, as we know he can heal himself. We need to hit him many times, until my power makes sure there is nothing left of him.” Alex responded, determined to let her team know the situation.
You see, they weren’t relying on mystic powers as much as the turtles were. Only the red Avali and Alex had mystic powers. But when these went all out… it would be very destructive.
The blue ball was still around them. Morris couldn’t hit any ranged attack against them, as it protected the flying rodents from harm. He responded by flying to them himself. Alex threw knives at him, but it didn’t really have an effect, as Morris either dodged or just took the hit.
But the 10 second mark had arrived… and Morris felt a sharp pain, as the damage from the poison and some of the knives was instantly applied to his body again.
This was the mystic power of the Avali leader: after 10 seconds that a target she pointed out was being hit, the same damage would apply to the target again. It wasn’t that the poison would corrode inside Morris for the same duration again, all the damage that he received in the last 10 seconds would repeat instantly.
This would go on until either the leader would create another line that wasn’t to Morris anymore or the battle was won on one side.
Morris immediately realised what their plan was, and completely lost it. To think that there were more people who were able to be a threat to his life. Morris was still in shock from the last battle, where he was almost completely gutted by Donnie, and he wasn’t planning on letting that happen again. His voice nearly destroyed itself from the angry screaming he did as a response.
“DAMMN YOUUUUU.”
As Morris created massive tendrils and spikes from his body again, he went all in, creating speed as well and completely rivalling the flying rodents in the sky.
But Morris’s wounds were holding him back, he just wasn’t able to go fast enough.
It was like he was trying to harm mosquitoes; every attack he threw at his enemies was either dodged or nullified by their mystic shield, which protected them from ranged attacks. All the while, they used poisonous balls that appeared out of nowhere to try and hit the villain. Morris couldn’t get to them, and the Avali just flew away, with every 10 seconds a sharp pain appearing again, and again.
A poisonous ball appeared again, hitting Morris’s shoulder, and this time around, the blue ones started shooting.
“Acid hunters, ready.”

Many rockets came out of their guns. Morris tried to dodge, but even though he redirected the rockets with air and kinetic energy, the rockets just turned around and flew back at him, one hitting him in his back.
Then, another hit from Alex’s mystic power kicked in, completely exploding Morris’s back, almost including his neck as well. And as they flew away, the angry blue one started yelling at the screaming man.
“DIE A PAINFUL DEATH, YOU ASSHOLE.”
“For once, I agree with you, let’s not apprehend him, he has done enough damage,” Alex said, still looking at the enemy, her tone being one of intense concentration.
“Permission to go in?” The red one spoke, ready to hit Morris again with poison.
Morris was busy healing himself, and he realized he was in deep trouble against this elite team.
Morris got hit again with poison, and many rockets were appearing, with, after Morris took out most of them with many spikes and tendrils, one hit him in the stomach.
Then… again, he got hit by the mystic energy that was building up inside his system.
Morris started to hallucinate. On the outside, his organs were visible from all the damage he received, as he was completely overpowered. And while he was healing himself, he started to see things.
He saw his past, the good moments, even with his chronic pain.
He saw him getting ice cream with his father, having fun on the couch afterwards and just talking about their interests in the sciences.
He also saw, even though he was in pain, that he enjoyed drinking coffee with his mother every morning, always putting him in a bit of a better demeanor than he was due to his illness.
And he saw that before his illness started… he was going on vacation and walking with his family right next to a beautiful lake.
However, the spider appeared in his mind again. And even though it couldn’t control him directly… it knew how to act in situations like this.
“I doubt your family would ever love you again, after what you did to them.”
After two seconds, which felt like double the amount, Morris started completely screaming, unknowingly amplifying his screams with sound waves from his power.
He lost it, sounding like a complete child, with emotion so loud the Avali all shuddered.
“MY PARENTS LOVED ME. EVEN WHEN I WAS SICK, MOMMY TOLD ME I WOULD NEVER BE A WEIGHT AROUND HER NECK. AND DADDY ALWAYS WORKED HARD SO HE COULD BUY THE MEDICINES I NEEDED. THEY LOVED ME, AND YOU NEED TO SHUT UP.”

The Avali were in the middle of a direct assault against Morris when he started screaming. When his outburst was finished, their ears had ruptured from the sound waves, causing them to bleed.
This type of Yokai had less vision through the eyes, but their ears were really sensitive, being able to hear really well and also hear where someone or something is coming from.
They immediately flew back, but the team was too late. Morris, who almost healed himself again, completely sacrificed his own body, to create such a strong laser, that something terrible happened.
The mystic ball protecting the Avali from projectiles… it broke.
The leader got hit in one of her wings, with the one who used the mystic power to protect them getting completely eviscerated.
Nothing was left of the red Avali, and the others were in complete shock. Looking at their enemy, they saw a husk of a body, being held together by just chunks of flesh and intact organs.
And even with all the damage, he healed it up.
“KEEP THE LEADER ALIVE, WE CAN STILL WIN THIS AGAINST THIS PSYCHO. HE RECEIVED SO MUCH DAMAGE IT WILL ACCUMULATE NOW,” The angry blue Avali said, holding the leader. Alex couldn’t fly anymore. Her wing was damaged. And even if she used her jetpack, she wouldn’t be able to fly the way she wanted to.
Nobody could communicate with each other as well anymore because of the sound waves. But even though Alex was unconscious, her mystic power was still active, and it immediately hit Morris again until he was in the same state he was before.
They thought Morris would be dead from all the damage he received, but the self-inflicted damage from him…
It didn’t count.
Damage from the leader’s mystic power would only apply if it was her or her allies triggering it… and Morris wasn’t an ally.
As the remaining Avali beside the injured Alex tried to harm Morris, he started playing it more defensively, slowly regenerating more of his body than her mystic power could inflict.
The fight was no longer going so well as it was at the start.
But then, Morris was… crying?
As the Avali who was mostly angry and the smart red Avali engaged Morris, the anxious one holding the leader now, was trying to shoot with his acid hunters. It was too much however, as Morris kept creating a crystal around him to negate all the damage he was able to.
And as the smart red one tried to fly towards the crystal with his blade…
Three spikes pierced him… making him fall towards the sea under them.
Morris kept getting hit by the damage coming from Alex’s mystic power, but the damage they all inflicted wasn’t enough. Morris was barely able to keep healing slightly more than the damage inflicted, and now that he was playing it defensively, he would be able to regenerate slightly more than he was damaged.
“YOU MONSTER, I AM GOING TO KI-” the angry blue Avali couldn’t even finish his sentence, as the crystal bursted and the shards completely pierced his body.
He was barely able to protect his comrades…
He then fell down as well, and as Morris immediately launched himself to Alex, grabbing her and then blasting the anxious Avali away, sending him away for half a mile.
Morris was flying in the sky, holding Alex by the throat. But he didn’t kill her yet. His hands trembled, but his voice was steady.
“You don’t understand,” he said, his eyes fixed on the half conscious hero in front of him. “I didn’t want this. I don’t like killing, I hate it. I even got my control back from that… thing.”
He swallowed, fingers worrying at his side. “I just want them back. I need to save them. So I keep going. I’m not doing this because I want to. I’m doing it because I have to, for the ones who always loved me.”
Morris completely broke down, as he, yet again, had killed several people because of the situation he had created himself.
“I am sorry, I am so sorry, I can’t take anymore. You are all just like me, caring for your loved ones, your comrades.”
As he tried to say something again, an acid hunter almost shot Morris in his side, with him blocking it. Alex woke up, and as she dropped downwards and got picked up by the one remaining Avali soldier, she threw some knives at Morris, who got hit in his left eye.
Alex and her subordinate their ears had slightly calmed down a bit, and they could slowly start to hear each other again.
“I am getting us out of here, hold on Alex!”
But even with a jetpack, Morris was faster with all the energy he was creating from himself. The Avali were tired, and the jetpack wasn’t as powerfull, while Morris could create biomolecules to keep going for as long as he wanted to.
And as Alex and her remaining companion flew away, they were getting chased down by Morris, who was angrier than ever at the one holding Alex.
As Alex clung to his arm, their small bodies trembling against the chaos that was behind them, Morris’s presence loomed closer.
“ALEX!” the anxious Avali cried, his voice cracking. “He’s coming, he’s going to catch us, we have to stay together!”
Her eyes, sharp and determined, even through exhaustion, flicked back at him. She forced a strained smile. “Listen to me. I am going to try to let you make it. That’s all that matters now.”
“But I can’t leave you!” He shook his head violently, tears flowing drastically from his eyes, his grip on her arm tightened as if by sheer force he could keep her beside him.
Alex reached out, brushing a strand of bloodied hair from her forehead. “You remind me of my mom…you are anxious… yet determined, too determined to give up.”
Her voice softened for just a moment, but the weight of her resolve pressed through. “That’s why I know you’ll do everything to survive.”
Morris drew closer, his speed monstrous. Alex began to loosen her grip from her comrade, with him realising what she was about to do.
“Alex, what are you doing?” His panic rose as he felt her pulling him away from her side. Alex was crying too, knowing that she was going to die.
But she wanted to do her duty… one last time.
“Everyone was always so impressed with you. And you will do great things in life. Help the turtles if you can, help everyone defeat him. We are counting on you.”
“No!” His scream was ragged, desperate. “If you fight, I’ll fight too! I don’t want to flee.”
For a split second, he saw Alex’s silhouette against the chaos flying defiantly even as Morris almost bore down on her.
Her last words reached him deep inside his core.
“Live, for all of us.”
She loosened her arm, and turned around, facing Morris, getting all her knives ready.

“FACE ME YOU DEMON.”
Morris rushed at her… while the remaining soldier flew away with tears in his eyes as he knew what the result would be…
Unfortunately, after Alex’s sacrifice, Morris was able to catch up to the remaining Avali, slowly harming him, attack after attack… Alex her efforts ended in vain. He escaped, but he was severely wounded from everything.
In the end, he was killed too, dying of his injuries, barely reaching New York. This entire operation ended in a tragedy, and Morris was now an international threat to the world. Now, it looks like the turtles and Yuichi were all on their own again… Right?
