Chapter 11 Part 1: Nederland Arriveert → The World Gets Involved
The Mayor holds another speech… with someone new
It has been 7 days since Morris’s mind was entered by the turtles and Yuichi. People were yelling massively again, Yokai mostly. They were screaming about the fact that Yokai shouldn’t fight for ‘the’ humans, while the ‘normal’ citizens were telling the Yokai to accept their duty as citizens of New York and the world.
The reason they were yelling?
Someone in the government leaked the fact that the elite Avali fighters from the Netherlands were coming to help the people of New York. This probably happened due to the fact that Yokai don’t have many government positions yet in the country and New York as a whole, and that someone has been selling information to the Yokai groups and ambassadors from the Hidden City.
It is always about money, isn’t it?
Nevertheless, this speech was a reaction to massive protests from Yokai groups, because they didn’t want their Yokai heroes, including the turtles, to be hurt… again. People were almost going to throw stuff at each other… But then the Mayor started to speak. Right next to him, a soldier with long black hair entered the stage. He was the person who saved the country along with the turtles two years ago. He said nothing, but his presence was enough to make the people calm down a bit.
“People of New York…”
Everyone listened, but they were very angry at the situation. No… not only angry, they were scared as well. They had been through enough, especially with what happened two years ago, and now this.
“As most of you know… information got out too early that elite fighters are coming to our city. They chose themselves to come, and the people from their homeland want nothing more than to help you as well.”
Everyone was quiet, most of the Yokai wanted to scream at the Mayor, endangering one of their most favorite heroes. Some even did.
“IF THOSE TURTLES COULDN’T DO IT SO CAN’T THEY.”
“DON’T SACRIFICE OUR LIVES FOR YOUR HUMAN BATTLES.”
Some Yokai were also discriminatory towards the elite-group.
“DON’T LET THOSE FILTHY FLYING RODENTS COME HERE, THEY WILL TAKE ALL THE CREDIT LIKE THEY USUALLY DO.”
Then, when more people started responding, the soldier immediately took the mic from the Mayor and started to speak. He was stern and spoke clearly.
“QUIET, ALL OF YOU.”
People were shocked, as they realised one of the saviours of the world was going to take over the Mayor’s speech. This prompted everyone to listen to what he had to say.
“DON’T YOU REALISE WE ARE IN A CRISIS JUST LIKE TWO YEARS AGO? HAVE YOU ALL LOST YOUR MIND? IT IS IMPORTANT WE STAY CALM AND WORK TOGETHER. AND WE ARE FACING ONLY ONE PERSON THIS TIME.”
When he said that last thing, however… people completely lost it…
“ONE PERSON IS DOING MORE DAMAGE NOW THAN POWERFUL ALIENS DID THEN, AND YOU COULDN’T DO A THING.”
The people, both Yokai and humans, started throwing stuff at the Mayor and the soldier beside him.

The soldier wanted to keep standing, to keep giving hope to the people, but his comrades saw that the situation was becoming dangerous. As a result, they were immediately escorted off the stage.
But between them was a hairy Yokai, fully made of brown hair… fully standing still.
One thing was weird about him…
He had small purple gauches underneath all the hair on his body. And now that he knows that the rumors of the elite team from the Netherlands are true, he couldn’t manage to allow that elite team to come and aid the ones he was facing…
Everyone at the lair, with Donnie resting in his room.
The turtles were watching TV. They were insanely relieved to get some backup. Having heard of the Avali elite team, they knew they were powerful warriors and rivaled them just as much.
And most of all, they weren’t relying on mystic powers as much as the turtles were, making them extremely dangerous. They were experts in dealing with massive Yokai, and sometimes people with rogue mystic powers. The group could completely shut them down.
Would that be enough against Morris, however?
“What should we do when they arrive?” Yuichi asked hesitantly, trying to join the conversation of the group. Raph gave him the side-eye, and Mikey just awkwardly looked at him.
“We should immediately start planning, we can’t allow Morris to start making his next move as well.” Leo said sternly. Then, he smiled at Yuichi, making the other two turtles look at each other, sighing disappointedly.
April was there too. She said she felt safer with the turtles, but in reality… she wanted to protect them as well. She knew they wouldn’t let her fight, but she wanted to do everything she could to help out. Unfortunately, they didn’t let her partake in the meeting with them, as they felt it was too dangerous for her…
In secret, she didn’t want to admit it, but she felt helpless. She felt a lot like Splinter at that moment, powerless to help her chosen family. It ate her up on the inside, but she would keep trying to find a way to help.
No matter what.
Splinter was actually practicing martial arts in the dojo, also preparing for what was to come. He felt the same as April. He was not able to use his mystic power anymore due to his old age. And besides, he was too afraid to use it anyway due to its uncontrollable power. Nevertheless, he would still train himself to get into shape to be of the slightest help to his sons.
The whole lair was still grim, and quiet… but at least Leo and Yuichi had found each other again.
After the meeting, they went to Leo’s room again, and proceeded to talk about the situation. Yuichi firstly sat on the bed, with Leo joining soon after speaking about some small things with his brothers Mikey and Raph. It was mainly about how they were going to meet up with the elite team coming to New York City, as they didn’t want to draw too much attention to themselves, while the elite team worked in broad daylight for everyone to see.
When Leo entered the room, he and Yuichi had a moment together.
“Hey Leo,” Yuichi said, faintly smiling at the slider in front of him.
“Hey,” Leo said, trying to smile back to keep his boyfriend’s demeanor up. In reality, the stress had been eating him up too, how was he going to protect everyone?
Luckily, the Avali elite group was on the way, giving the team a slight sense of relief. Leo sat on the bed and grabbed Yuichi’s hand, comforting Yuichi, but secretly also comforting himself.
“I am so glad we don’t have to do this alone, Yuichi. I am so glad help is on the way… before he appears again.”
Yuichi was quiet, his face turned slightly sad, realizing that people could get hurt because of the man chasing him.
“I am scared Leo. What if they get hurt too? Look at Donnie. He is insanely talented, and yet…”
Leo put his hand on his boyfriend’s face, and let him make eye contact with him, starting to tell him what he thought.
“Yuichi, even though he is after you, this is no longer just your fight. Look what he did to our city, our family. He needs to be put down.”
Yuichi was quiet for a moment, but then started giggling for some reason.
“Did you just call me part of your family?”
Leo blushed and laughed a little and then just started laying down against Yuichi.
“You are much more than just my family… Bunny-Boy!”
Even though Yuichi laughed at Leo’s joke, he couldn’t help but still feel that he didn’t belong with the team. But he did feel safe with Leo nonetheless, and wanted to be with him.
In the end, they just sat against one another, comforting each other in this very dire situation.
Everyone could only wait until help was going to arrive to them…
The thing was, Leo had seen Alex before in his life. Two years ago to be exact. He, however, didn’t say anything about it. Let’s just say the subject was a painful one to be exact. He knew that the damage she had inflicted and her mystic power was the thing that saved Leo’s life two years ago. However, the subject was so painful for him, that he tried to forget everything that happened to him that day.
It looked like it was time for Leo to confront old wounds.

The elite team standing on their jets
It has been a day since the Mayor’s speech… and the Avali squad was still on their way. They were determined to help the citizens of New York and the turtles to defeat this enemy.
But secretly… they wanted to surpass the turtles… except Alex. The Avali group envied the turtles, inspiring them to do even better in saving the world and the countries in it, but the leader Alex had a different motivation.
Alex was slightly younger than Leo and the other turtle. She went on vacation to New York two years ago with her family. When the Kraang invaded, she tried to protect everyone. Her mother fought against a massive Kraang robot, but she failed, and her mother died. When her brother was next… Leo appeared all on his own, allowing her to save her brother’s life and fly away with him.
She would never forget him, as he was her role model from that day forward. Yes, she was excited to finally be able to fight alongside him, but she wanted to repay him for everything.
With one tear in her eye, her smile wide, she felt she was ready to face anyone or anything. She knew that Leo got hurt from some of the footage that was leaked from the battle, and she was feeling insanely guilty.
Wanting to make sure the turtles never got hurt again, she immediately made the preparations to go to New York, to help the others.
“The evening is approaching,” one of the red Avali said, standing on his jet.
“We have 100 kilometres left to go, before we arrive,” Alex said sternly yet optimistically. But… when she was about to say something else to boost the team’s morale, she got cut off by one of the blue members on her team.
“Hold on, what is that cloud? It has purple lighting all around it.”
Everyone looked at the cloud, as something was off about it. They had never ever seen something like this before. They then got their jetpacks on their back ready for use, planning to investigate this strange phenomenon. However, the silent red Avali immediately started yelling to his team, signifying the danger they were in.
“JUMP NOW! IT’S HIM.” This was the right call, because as the five of them immediately jumped and glided off their jets, a massive beam came out from the cloud, destroying all the planes. The Avali squad barely dodged, and they immediately looked in anger at the, now open, cloud in the sky.

He was there, levitating in the sky. His purple wounds weren’t fully healed yet, but he had healed more than enough to enter the fight again.
One close look at his face and you could see his eyes were open, with a single tear coming out from one of them. Yet… he seemed determined to make sure nobody could interrupt him.
The Avali group immediately flew into formation, ready to face their biggest challenge yet.
