Leonardo’s letter to Miyamoto Usagi – TMNT 2003

Dear Usagi-san

I hope you have been doing well, Usagi-san. 

I have been doing well with my brothers and the others. 

The last time we talked didn’t go so well, Usagi-san. And it is time I told you the truth.

I always admired how you fought Usagi-san. Outside of Splinter, you were like a second mentor, even though we were the same age. I loved all the duals we had, all the sparring sessions. You are amazing, Usagi-san. 

Fighting together against those ninjas, it was like we were a 2 man army, and I will never forget those days, being together with you.

But most importantly, I miss you, Usagi-San. I miss you really badly. Let’s go together to New York, or where you come from in Japan. No fighting, no foot clan, just the 2 of us, together. 

I should have let you in when you tried to help me, and I am so sorry I never gave you a chance to get through to me. I was in a bad place, and I couldn’t think clearly. I never wanted this to be the last time we spoke. Even at April and Casey’s wedding, I should have come up to you, but I was afraid because of my own guilt… my own hatred of how I acted towards you.  

Usagi-san, I hope you will forgive me. And I hope our paths will still cross again in the near future.
