Chapter 7 Part 1: Yuichi’s Battle → An Intense Confrontation
Yuichi vs the enemy

Yuichi looked at the person standing in front of him. He did not think it was a person though. It was a monster, who came specifically for him. However, the rabbit started to smirk, wanting to look like nothing was ever going to beat him, not even the thing standing in front of him.
“To come and greet me so late at night, don’t you have anything better to do,” Yuichi joked sarcastically, having a mad grin on his face.
The villain just stood there, motionless. Nothing was there. He looked like an empty husk, his purple eye refracting the moonlight. Yuichi started to become very angry at this, his smile fading. Starting to become full of rage, he gritted his teeth violently.
“Filthy monster.”
Yuichi charged his blade, blue flames emerging from the steel. Getting into a fighting stance, he attacked the person, completely engulfing him in flames. Then only after a single second, a small air burst erupted from the villain, putting out all the flames in an instant.
Yuichi tried again… unfortunately having the same result. Annoyed, he charged his blade again. This time, he shot vertical and horizontal forms of the blade, making the flames way more concentrated so the villain could not just neutralize them with an air burst. The villain responded with massive water whips, making the flames useless once more…

But Yuichi planned for this. He started running towards the man and then in one blow, he sliced the person’s body across the chest.
As Yuichi turned around to attack again, the villain attacked with a massive club from his arm, the end having massive spikes coming from it. Yuichi dodged this barely, shocked that he was caught off guard so easily. However, Yuichi’s demeanor did not falter and smiled.
“Almost isn’t good enough,” he taunted.
As Yuichi danced around the villain, the villain reacted with a larger air blast. Yuichi was knocked back, but danced and jumped across the adjacent building walls to become even faster. Again, the enemy was taken aback by this. He was charging a large amount of black-purple lighting from his hand, ready to react to Yuichi’s next move. As Yuichi jumped to his opponent, he realized the wound on the villain’s chest healed.
“What is this?” he thought to himself, but he went through with his attack. As Yuichi got closer, his opponent summoned a massive amount of… glue?
He was trying to lock Yuichi down. Yuichi dodged, but immediately after, the villain fired another wind blast. This one was not meant to hurt Yuichi, it was meant to put his body through the glue. The amount of goo hardened, hampering his movement just a little bit.
But Yuichi had a powerful body from all the training he had endured. While still being able to keep moving fast, every step was slightly delayed by the goo. He tried to charge up another massive flame assault, but…
As the enemy saw Yuichi’s movement was slightly slower, he immediately went on the offensive. He launched himself with a speed comparable to Yuichi’s, who was still charging up his attack.
“HOW?! Nobody has managed to have speed comparable to me… EVER,” Yuichi thought as he tensed his muscles.
The villain attacked Yuichi with many spikes coming from his body, as well as green poisonous needles from his nails. He intended to slowly make the rabbit fatigued. As he attacked, other buildings also got damaged in the process.

Yuichi got visibly upset, his body trembling with rage and screaming: “THAT’S ENOUGH.” The rabbit completely burned the enemy with blue flames, his purple eye widening. As he withdrew his spikes and tendrils, he completely shielded himself with water, but it was not enough.

Yuichi got a strong, clear hit in. Flames were everywhere, and as he tried to go for the villain’s neck, he heard the sound of electricity coming from the flames. Then… a massive explosion ensued.
Even though the explosion wasn’t as massive as the one at the battle nexus, as the man had less time to load up all his energy, black-purple lighting was everywhere. It consumed the entire street they were in. Yuichi was knocked through several buildings, creating several bruises on his body.
Buildings fell, streets were destroyed, the amount of destruction was immeasurable. And then, another combustion happened…

The turtles at the lair
As the turtles were still bickering about why Yuichi had left them so abruptly, the television suddenly turned to Static.
Splinter immediately looked a lot more tense, since he knew this only happened with emergencies.
Then, a news anchor’s voice broke through the quiet hum of the lair’s TV.
“This has just come in, an emergency broadcast from Manhattan. High magnitudes of mystic energy are tearing through the city center.”
The screen flashed images from a news chopper: the sky lit up purple, streets cracking open, a white blur, no, a figure, thrown through concrete like a ragdoll. The turtles looked in shock, wondering what was causing this destruction. They immediately reached for their weapons instinctively.
“Authorities urge evacuation of the area immediately. Eyewitnesses report a rabbit-like fighter facing a powerful criminal whose attacks are destroying the city. The police and army are going to intervene.”
Leo’s stomach dropped. His hand instantly reached for the remote, turning up the volume.
“Yuichi,” he almost screamed, his eyes wide. “That’s him, he’s out there.”
A newscaster chimed in, her voice shaky. “Viewers are asking: where are the turtle heroes? Can anyone stop this destruction before it’s too late?”
Leo took a step forward, trembling. On screen, they saw a human flying towards Yuichi. He was then hit by another blast and sent flying through another skyscraper. There was a lot of dust and smoke. Everyone gasped
“No, NO!” Leo shouted, already reaching for his swords. He was about to make a portal, when Mikey’s voice came from behind. “Leo, wait.”
But Leo was already moving. Emotion swelling in his chest, tears starting to appear on his face. “We have to go. He needs us.”
Donnie grabbed his techpad from the couch. “Hold on. We don’t even know what we’re walking into yet. That thing took out half a city block in one blast.”
“I SAW him, Donnie. He was barely moving! If we wait, he might…” Leo cried out, worried sick about Yuichi and wanting nothing more than to save the one he so desperately wanted to be with.
Raph interrupted, trying to stay as objective as possible. He could not help himself, thinking that Leo’s leadership was being tainted by the situation. “Leo, breathe slowly, in and out.”
Leo looked angry at Raph, he did not want to be calm, he wanted to act, to do something to save his friend. “I am not spiraling Raph.”
“You kind of are…” Donnie said, trying to sound as quiet as possible, but still let Leo hear it.
April started calling the turtles their phones, but they didn’t pick up. April was safe from the fight at the moment, and they did not think it was wise to involve her. Splinter was terrified of what was happening. He was shivering, just looking at the tv screen.
Mikey, then softly approached Leo. “Leo… Hey… Leo.”

He walked over and gently placed a hand on Leo’s shoulder. Leo flinches, then softens.
“It’s okay to be scared. You care about him. Of course you’re freaking out.”
Leo didn’t answer. The others their eyes were locked on the screen, still showing flashes of chaos. Mikey gently pulled Leo into a hug. Leo let himself fall into it. As he embraced Mikey, he thought back to his conversation with Yuichi.
(“I had to run away from my home in Japan”)
(“But why? You are so talented and strong.”)
(“That’s… a story for another time, Leo.”)
It all made sense now to Leo. He was being hunted by this… thing.
Raph, who was a bit nervous, started to take over as ‘Vice-leader’ for a moment. “Alright boyz, we need a plan.”
Leo, still with tears in his eyes, had a determined look. “I will teleport us onto one of the buildings nearby to get into position. Let’s surround the villain and overwhelm him with all our attacks. He can’t take all four of us.”
Splinter, who was listening all this time, was proud of his boys. However, tears started to appear at this point. Seeing them risking their lives for the 100th time was very painful to him.
“Wait, if you go, I go too!” But, as he yelled to come with them, the turtles had already left.
Yuichi vs the enemy
Yuichi’s clothes were ragged and dirty, his sleeves were ripped off. They didn’t resemble a samurai at all. He was thinking about his parents’ last words.
(“Live for us Yuichi…”)
(“Keep running, you are fast, strong, agile, we are so proud of you.”)
He looked up from the office he was thrown into. The villain flew towards the room, black-purple lighting emanating from his body as he was healing himself. He walked towards the barely conscious rabbit and started speaking. “Air, muscle fiber, calcium influx, kinetic energy and…”
As he tried to finish his sentence, he was shot through the chest. The police and the army were there, trying to shoot the enemy. Yuichi took this chance to regain his composure and try to stand.
Weird metal-like antlers protruded from the villains back, whose blouse and shirt at this point were destroyed. Yuichi tried to backstab the enemy. The man was attacking the police with massive metal spears and lighting coming from the antlers from his back, while Yuichi was met with that purple eye again. A shield appeared from the villain’s hand, stopping his assault.
The enemy spoke firmly. “Adrenaline and stemcells in combination with defensive measures. These creations allow me to endure any attack.”
Yuichi became quiet. How was he going to deal with a regenerating enemy? He realized how his parents were defeated. They were the strongest after all… At least that was what Yuichi used to think. His father used to have the same mystic flames as him, while his mother was a strong assassin that fell in love with his father. They were the perfect duo.
Even though Yuichi was very tired, feeling sharp pain from being thrown through several buildings, he tried to charge another massive attack. The villain, though, quickly blasted Yuichi with another small airblast and cancelled out the attempt. Then, he flew out, harvesting massive amounts of black-purple energy…
As the police and the army at this point were shooting, he was hit in multiple parts of his body. He then fired a massive concentrated laser, defeating each and everyone of them instantly, damaging more buildings in the process.
Yuichi took this chance, and shot a massive fire blast in the form of a half-full-moon towards the villain, hitting him extremely hard. This time, the enemy got thrown into a building. Looking at where he had landed, he saw that he was healing himself and that a large amount of black-purple energy was around him again. Yuichi tried to finish it, but he couldn’t. He received too much much damage from being thrown around so many buildings.
As he tried to move, Yuichi fell to his knees. He was too tired, too weak. He started thinking about how he failed to obey his family, how he didn’t make them proud. The villain slowly flew towards Yuichi.
“Out of all the Usagi’s and their allies I faced, you are by far the strongest. Your mother and father would be proud.”
Yuichi could not believe what he just heard. A compliment. From HIM. From the one who killed… His grip tightened around the hilt of his blade. His breathing turned sharp. The flames around his katana surged, and then… Yuichi lost it.
“KEEP MY FAMILY OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MOUTH!”
Yuichi felt intense emotion inside of his entire body. It was a burning sensation, causing him to have enough energy to attack again. With all his might, Yuichi jumped extremely high into the air. He tried to channel an attack so big, it would instantly kill the enemy, pushing himself beyond extremes.
However, it was intercepted by Yuichi being punched with a massive arm in the stomach…
Yuichi flew up, as did the villain, and he was held up with 2 arms in the dimly lit sky. As a massive black-purple energy surge started to emerge for a final attack… Yuichi could only think about his life, how peaceful it had been until he had to face his past…
Yuichi closed his eyes, accepting his fate…
But then, seemingly out of nowhere…
Portals emerged around the villains hands, with 2 swords instantly cutting them off. Leo emerged extremely fast from another portal in the sky.
With an angry and tearful expression, he flew through the air with Yuichi, while looking at the thing that had hurt his soulmate.
